Lost Psalm Code of Conduct
OOC NOTE: This page is meant to be a helpful tool to give members of the choir direction for their characters to help the faction, but also to help give them things to do. Mostly myself and staff want you to have fun. I do not plan to micromanage anyone. And it should be also noted that some rules which are broken make things interesting! So please enjoy yourselves. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! If you want any special missions or tasks, just let me know OOC or ask the Canticle IC.
Mission Statement
The Lost Palms Choirs primary objective is to do its best to redirect belief of the citizens back to Ael. The world is a mess, it is filled with false gods dreamed up by wayward humans. It is filled with blasphemous races made by false gods which now intermingle with an ever low percentage of true faith. A faith that dwindles and drowns amidst the clutter of falsehood.
Reality has shattered to many times. We know from our timeless pasts the Lesser Gods began to carve out realms and universes from the nothingness. Scripture speaks of their actions shattering reality again and again, breaking time and eroding the very essence of existence itself. We know If this should continue, there is a possibility that all of time and space will break down like shattering glass.
Therefore, we must return as many as we can back to Ael. The voids left from shattered reality only brings more chaos. In the emptiness, The Darkness is able to grow and consume. The world has lost sight, our cousins the humans, have lost their way. In Convergence they look only to one another, they forget about their great creator. They do not ask or question where Light Magic comes from. They follow their egos to the assumption there is nothing beyond themselves. We must make them see the signs, open their minds and hearts.
We must protect the Nexus Machine. It may be the key to bringing Ael back to us in the fullest extent. It also rumored to be the reason Convergence even exists, and as Convergence is meant to be a safe haven from the Darkness, it is pivotal in our mission.
While in distant times we were meant to fight our fallen brethren and exterminate races made by false entities, within Convergence, the choir will act covertly. These are not times for faction wars, This is a time of restoring prayer and song to the one true Maker. Our goal is to collect and protect as many humans as possible and to try and convert as many minds, even the fallen, even the false. We will raise faithful pneuma in Aels name. Those we find in direct conflict with that goal, any who preach false gods openly to the public or try and undermine our identities will be prosecuted.

Lost Psalm Laws
- Members of the Choir will obey the Canticles wishes and those he or she appoints as trusted advisers.
- Members of the Choir will take part doing rounds in the guise of a human observing the citizens of Convergence, acting as casual intelligence.
- Members of the Choir will make note of all Nephilim or Shard entities they suspect as having come across and report it to the Canticle or Magnificat.
- Members of the Choir will not engage in any violence or drama that would call to much attention to themselves. This can change depending on circumstances and orders by the Canticle.
- Members of the Choir should never reveal their identity on the full moon. They should always be in a disguise while on patrol during these occasions. If there is an accident, report it immediately. Anonymity is important.
- Members of the Choir should only reveal themselves under very controlled circumstances and so long as the reveal is to the choirs benefit, such as to sway a mind at a critical point back to the path of Ael.
- Members of the choir will report anything suspicious that seems worth taking note of. Such as talk of war, criminal behavior, preaching of a false gods name, rumors of other factions plans and or feuds etc. Basically anything that sounds important to be aware of.
- Members of the Choir should abide the The Eleven Commandments of the Elohim (read here)
Duties of the Songs.
This is a list of the various sub-races of Elohim and a reminder of what each sub-race does with their existence. This is an edited version of the sub-races taken from the Celestial race page, so please refer back to it (here) to make sure you know the rest of the details around each sub-race. Ive posted it here just to add ideas of what each member of the choir can be doing to help the faction and to stay active and keep role play interesting for themselves.
The Whispers: They attempt to test and corrupt humanity. They give humans hardships and challenges to overcome and see if they rise to the challenge. This allows them to find out who among them are truly virtuous and faithful. And since the truly virtuous and faithful are the best at generating pneuma for angels, the Whispers then have a record of where their brethren can find excellent power sources. Many Whispers ply their trade by attempting to lure humans into vice...be it lust, or pride, or gluttony, or some other sin.
The Clarion: The Clarion are warriors, former soldiers for the armies of the Archangels. For thousands and thousands of years, they have fought both the demons and the armies of the "Lesser Gods". For many of them, all they have ever known is the fight. However, with the paths to Heaven shattering, the Clarion suddenly find themselves in a unique situation. For the first time in an eternity, they can CHOOSE whether to fight, and they can choose their battles. There are rumors that some of the Clarion have laid down their swords, but truthfully, most of them have simply taken up more subtle jobs in the mortal world, fitting in where they can as security guards and mercenaries.
The Lullaby: They are the protectors and guardians of God's creations, and from them comes the archetypical concept of "guardian angels". But they are not only concerned with guarding humans, but everything beloved by God. There are Lullabies who protect animals, plants, places, books, temples, rivers and oceans, and more. Since the Severing, they have, many of them, taken up mundane jobs near or working with those things they once guarded and tended. With only their area of guardianship remaining familiar to them in this strange time, they don't just guard, but relentlessly pursue and destroy any minor perceived threat to their "holy treasure".
The Voices: The Voices are angels of communication. They deliver not only God's mandates and messages to mankind, but also hear and answer (or reject) prayers on God's behalf. Beyond this, the Voices have the task of overseeing memory, sanity, and language. Following the Severing, they've taken up mortal jobs as everything from powerful philanthropists to psychiatrists, and book writers. However, others have gone very exceptionally insane.
The Silence: Are tasked both with bringing God's judgment and punishment to mankind, as well as instilling fear into mortals. Humanity does have the option of turning against God, but absolutely nowhere in any Good Book does it say that God won't punish them for doing so. In addition, it has been found that fear inspires faith. Without fear, there can be no hope.
The Blessed (Non-Elohim, Human Only): The Elohim have long had the tradition of favoring those Most Faithful with gifts of the Faith. These "Blessed" are often those who go on to become Saints of the Church, or venerated holy men or women. Blessed belong to one Elohim, and each Elohim may have two, their 'right hand' and 'left hand.' The Blessed should care for their angel and should help promote the faith on a public level or aid humanity in some way.
The Faithful: Non-Elohim who do not serve a specific Elohim (Blessed), who wish to devote their lives to Ael.

Task Ideas for the Choir.
We must always be striving to better our position in Convergence and rising more faithful. There are many ways to help do this. Here is a list of job suggestions to keep in mind or take on for all Choir members. Keep yourself busy and productive.
Mobile Therapist: Keep your eyes open, your ears keen. Look for people who are down in the dumps. Seek out those who are lost in vice and addiction. Find the depressed. Use their weakened state to be a concerned friend, work to turn their faith to Ael, teach them to feel loved by Ael and to get their strength from Ael.
Church Volunteer: Having presence at the Church will bring more to the church. Act as a volunteer, or perhaps a devout human, whatever works which allows you a chance to meet people who come in or pass by. Be friendly and warm, make them feel like they have a friend in the church.
Convenient Job: Consider taking a human job in the city that allows you a chance to meet all kinds of people. Bars and Pubs are great places to meet people and to act as the customers sounding board. Drunk minds confess allot. Perhaps pose as a therapist who works out of the Nexus Hospital. Get a job at City Works or the Union to do social work, helping find people jobs and connections. A server at a restaurant. You get the idea, any place that allows you to connect with people, learn about them, gain trust and see if you can slowly raise their faith.
The Troubled Soul: Sometimes the best way to attract decent people with open hearts is to play the troubled soul or victim. There are many out there who open up to those they see struggling with issues worse then their own, or having trouble coping with life. Sometimes in allowing others to feel the reward in seeing them help another soul recover opens their hearts to Ael.
